A new short-form series backed by filmmaker and director Adam McKay has launched this week, using OnlyFans creators and social-first video to bring climate storytelling into a more unexpected corner of the internet.
The eight-part series, Headline Newds, takes a deliberately unconventional approach to conversations about the environment and climate change, aiming to reach and engage audiences who may have previously tuned out of the conversation.

Broadcast on Instagram and OnlyFans and produced by Yellow Dot Studios - the non-profit filmmaking studio headed up by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Adam McKay (director of The Big Short, Don’t Look Up and Anchorman) - Headline Newds is an eight-part series fronted by established OnlyFans creators. Built around a simple idea, the project uses direct-to-camera short films to bring clear, memorable climate facts in an engaging and easy-to-follow format.
The series launched on Tuesday 7th April with its first episode, The Sun Is Daddy, presented by Megan Prescott, which explores the potential of solar energy. A second episode will follow on Thursday 9th April, with further instalments released every Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm (UK time) throughout April.
When complex issues feel overwhelming, people often disengage. By using sex-positive online culture and the creator economy, the series breaks down big climate topics into short, punchy explainers, making the conversation feel more accessible and placing climate messaging within the digital spaces audiences already use to consume content and news.
In collaboration with Yellow Dot Studios, the project has been co-created by Prescott, alongside filmmaker and creator Bree Essrig and climate narrative strategist Jessica Riches. Together, they bring experience across television, the creator economy and climate communication.
Each episode is fronted by creators including Prescott and Essrig, alongside Eva Oh, Kat Baker, Ivy Maddox, Sabrina Jade, Rebecca Crow and Lara Knox. Across the eight short films, these creators use humour, sex appeal and direct-to-camera storytelling to bring climate facts to their own audiences in ways designed to grab attention.
Additional episodes include Unsafe Words, Oil Kink and Dirty Little Secret, alongside films exploring fossil fuel financing, global temperature rise and the science behind extreme weather events.
As McKay notes: “Hotness is great on OnlyFans, but when the hotness pertains to oil companies cooking the planet just to boost their stock price, it (to use a scientific term) sucks.”
Producer Staci Roberts-Steele adds: “We’re always experimenting with fresh ways to talk about climate. So, whether it’s comedy, drama or boobs, we’re just putting real facts in front of people who’d never sit through a traditional climate conversation.”
Headline Newds launched on 7th April 2026, with new episodes released every Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm (UK time) throughout April. Episodes are available via Yellow Dot Studios’ YouTube channel, on OnlyFans via the Headline Newds channel, and on Instagram - follow along for more episodes: https://www.instagram.com/headlinenewds/
